Summary


Parents fighting to save their school have been telling those who will be deciding its future how much it means to their community. A few days after a protest march in Merthyr Tydfil town centre, the doors of the 60-pupil, closure-threatened Mount Pleasant Primary, in Merthyr Vale, were opened to all 33 council members.

The campaigning Friends of Mount Pleasant had thrown down the gauntlet - inviting them along to find out first-hand about the school, which is at the heart of their community.
