Police have charged a man with six offences after he caused a three-hour siege by arming himself with a knife and barricading himself in a house.
The 41-year-old was due to appear before magistrates in Caerphilly today charged with wounding with intent, actual bodily harm, threats to kill, arson with intent to endanger life, criminal damage and affray. Police had to force their way into the house in Gwerthonor Place, Bargoed, on Wednesday night after trained negotiators failed to convince the armed man to give himself up.See the full content of this document
