Summary
Much has been reported about new parking restrictions. If the council is to introduce red lines in certain areas, who is going to police them? We already have yellow lines around the city which are totally ignored by motorists. Traffic wardens ignore people parking on these yellow lines, so what good will red lines do? One can only presume that the councillors responsible for the areas mentioned ie. Roath, Cathays, Canton and Cardiff Central, either do not live in these areas or they are not bothered about the congestion caused by illegal parking.
Councillors do not have to go away to see how other cities have got it right. They should look at why Cardiff has got it wrong.See the full content of this document
