Her international competition days may be over, but Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson is still determined to be part of the action at Sunday's Bupa Great North Run.

Britain's greatest Paralympic athlete, who has won the Bupa Great North Run a record eight times, will be handing out the water at the 8.5 miles water station on John Reid Road, two-thirds of the way along the half-marathon course from Newcastle-upon-Tyne to South Shields.
