I know summer arrived early in April but for July to exhibit the tell tale signs of autumn is ridiculous. There have been a few signs of summer, but the nights have been unseasonably cool.
Last weekend was positively autumnal with wild winds, driving rain and below average temperatures. It was not so long ago that I was savouring the crops which were ahead of schedule, but now the summer crops of French and runner beans are failing to materialise.See the full content of this document
