Tempers flared after a rebel councillor refused to leave a meeting of Cardiff Conservatives. The monthly meeting in City Hall had to be abandoned after Councillor Jayne Cowan, who represents Rhiwbina, turned up - even though she is suspended from the group.
Coun Cowan, who is challenging her suspension, had refused appeals by party leader Councillor Gareth Neale and other members to leave the meeting.
