Lessons will be learned to improve next year's Cardiff Half Marathon, organisers have promised. Runners complained of having to wait up to 40 minutes to exit Cardiff Castle after finishing the race in the grounds. Many wore only running vests and were particularly cold as their bodies recovered. Organisers acknowledged the issue and said they would address it ahead of next year's event.

Jan Adams, from Treharris, Merthyr Tydfil, said her daughter Rhiannon, 29, took part in the event, but criticised the planning at the end.
