Summary
In reply to Mrs Hillier's letter (Viewpoints, February 2), I would firstly like to thank her for her enthusiasm towards recycling. Cardiff council is implementing a new recycling service and every household will receive the new service by the beginning of 2008 but it's not possible to provide facilities to more than 130,000 households at once.
A great deal of time has been taken to ensure we maximise efficiency of our collection vehicles, while we control the amount of waste being processed as our new recycling plant is being commissioned, to ensure that we minimise the cost to the taxpayer.See the full content of this document
