Golfing legend Tony Jacklin has backed Ian Woosnam to become the first Welshman in almost 30 years to captain Europe's Ryder Cup team. Woosie has emerged as overwhelming favourite to succeed Bernhard Langer, who led the team to glory in Detroit last September, for the first ever match to be staged in Ireland next year.
